Iona, 82, a devout Christian, has been called home.

She devoted her life to God and displayed obedience to him and his word in being a faithful witness to Christ. Iona, was a beautiful soul, who was never shy about speaking her thoughts.

 

Iona, brought into this world five beautiful children, who will always, honor, love and cherish their mother until their last days. William, Chris, Irish, Timmy (deceased) & Kenny.

 

She was born the youngest of four girls on December 20, 1939 in Huntington, WV, to the late, Willie Poole and Louise Nesbitt. She departed this life on September 7, 2022, in Cincinnati, Ohio, after God in his infinite wisdom, power, and love withdrew her breath of life. Iona’s unwavering faith in her heavenly father is the foundation upon which she built her life.

 

Iona is preceded in death by her late husband, Harold Ellison, her sisters, Wilhelmina Gudger, Jesse Taylor, Joyce Truss, her son, Bishop Timothy Richardson, and favorite nephew, Larry Truss.

 

She is survived by three other sons and one daughter. William Richardson of Cincinnati, Chris Richardson of Cincinnati, Irish Richardson of Columbus, and Kenneth and Judy Richardson of Flowery Branch, Georgia.

 

Nieces and Nephews, Gwendolyn Brima, Valerie Truss, Marsha Dickerson, Daryl Coston.

 

Grandchildren, Richard Frazier, Patrick Richardson, Conrad, Joshua Richardson, Shekinah, Caleb, Christian Richardson, Tasha, Ezekiel, Keturah, Lc Richardson, Nekeala Colon, Nekisha Owens, Tim Jr., & Cherie Richardson, Lee-Chris, Falyn, Bryce Richardson, Alex Carter.

 

Iona was blessed to have FIFTEEN GREAT GRANDCHILDREN
