Helen Watson, of Cincinnati, Ohio, entered eternal rest from natural causes on Friday October 24, 2025, at Brookdale Springdale at the age of 95. Helen was born in Marietta, Georgia on December 11, 1929, to the late John Taylor and Elizabeth Weems.
She was a 1949 graduate of Hamilton High School where she excelled in high jump. In 1951 she married Ronald Watson. They were blessed with four children: Rhonda, Dianne, Kevin, and Joey, ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. She is also survived by daughter-in-law Clarissa Watson and son-in-law Robert Wilson.
Helen was employed as an LPN at Fort Hamilton Hospital. She was an avid gardener. She planted flowers and vegetables every year. She loved to just sit outside and enjoy nature.
Helen enjoyed sports. She won many trophies for bowling and later in life for Chair Volleyball. She also enjoyed watching football and basketball on tv.
Helen enjoyed domestic and international travel to over 45 states and three continents. Her three proudest moments were attending her daughter Rhonda’s induction into the foreign service in Washington, D.C. in 1997; and attending a concert in Brussels, Belgium in 1997 where her grandson Arrington played the violin and her trip to see the pyramids and a cruise on the Nile.
Helen was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church for many years.
