Over the years Helen and I worked on several committees and projects concentrating on improving diversity at UCBA. I was always impressed by her dedication to this cause and her efforts to increase the institutional support of underrepresented students. She created the Multicultural Council at UCBA and she worked very hard to maintain the council active. It was a privilege and an honor to work with her.
