Mr. Genet Holiday, age 55, passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2021. Genet was born in Waynesboro, Georgia to Charles Holiday and Rosie Jones on April 13, 1966.
He was preceded in death by Charles Holiday (Father), and Rosie Jones (Mother).
He leaves to cherish his memory, four children, Chanell Stringer, Shelby, Ashley, and Tisha Holiday; grandchildren, Taylor Bispham and Payton Stringer; six brothers, Barry Jones (Emma), Charles Holiday (Adriane), Stacey Jones (Jennifer), D’Wayne Holiday Irby, Clifford Herrington, and Aaron Holiday; aunt, Louise Lodge; and uncles, Willie Norman, and Robert Jones. nephews; a host of nieces. Special friends- Danielle Harper and Deborah Nelson
Genet attended Waynesboro High School. While there he took an interest in basketball, football, and band. Even though he didn’t stick to the two sports he did keep up with his love for band, where he played drums. After graduating in 1984, a few years later he went to trade school and graduated from welding school. In 1988 he began his career as a pipe welder, which after a few years of traveling led him to Cincinnati. Where he decided to live, build his life, make friends and make a legacy.
Genét started Ryukyu Kempo in 1993. At the time he started with Gary Rooks he was already a 1st degree in Tang Su Do. He learned all the requirements to match his 1st degree by 1994 when he achieved 1st Dan in RyuKyu Kempo. His 2nd Dan in 1996. He earned his 3rd Dan, Instructor Rank in 1998 in RyuKyu Kempo. He achieved his 4th Dan, Master Rank in Ryukyu Kempo Hakutsuru in 2001. In 2006 he earned his 5th Dan Black Belt, in 2013 his 6th Dan Black belt in RyuKyu Kempo Hatkusuru. In 2020 he tested and earned his 7th Dan, Grand Master (Holiday), in RyuKyu Kempo Hakutsuru.

He was featured in many Kyusho International Videos. Kyusho International Documentary “Bubishi”. He taught in the USA, Mexico, and in the Bahamas at Kyusho International Seminars.
Genet was a wonderful father, son, friend, cousin, nephew, mentor, brother, instructor, and overall kind-hearted man. He was so loving, caring, selfless, intelligent, laid back, and insightful. He will definitely be missed.
Gathering of Family & Friends will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Thompson Hall Jordan Funeral Home 11400 Winton Road Forest Park, Ohio 45240. Memorial Services will follow immediately beginning at 2:30 PM.
