Gary Orlando Sparks Jr. was born May 10, 1972, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Gary Sparks Sr. and the late Yahmeahhah “Louise” Yisrael. He was the oldest boy out of 4 children. He completed his earthly journey and was called home on Sunday, June 29, 2025.
Gary professed his life to God at a young age. He was a loyal and faithful servant, who understood and cherished all the commandments. God knows why he called him home so soon, with him being a special person to him and his family.
Gary was educated through Cincinnati Public schools where he went to Withrow High School and learned how to use his hands to fix and build things through their wood shop. Gary worked as a batch maker for a couple of companies for the past several years. Gary was good at DIY projects and fixing cars, especially after watching a few YouTube videos.
Even with Gary’s hard work, he made time to do things he enjoyed doing. He enjoyed riding around listening to rap music, playing video games and being with family. One thing about Gary, it was family over everything. Gary was the life of the party. With his smile, his laughter, and his jokes, people knew he was in the room.
Gary leaves to cherish his memory with his dad, Gary Sparks Sr., his fiancé: Malaka Ward; two stepchildren: John Porter Jr. and Makala Porter; four siblings: Terry (Frankie) Sparks Sr., Anthony Sparks, Anita (Tony) Carter, and Brittany (Evin) Sofer; five nephews: Terry Jr., Lorenzo, Armani, Cameron, and Nathanial: three nieces: Ariyanna, Paris, and Danyella; two great nephews: Airis and Stefen: one great niece: Eliza; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
