Gail Holland Ranson was born on June 21, 1958 to Luerine Gates McClendon and William Henry McClendon in Cincinnati, Ohio. She lived a remarkable life led by strength, unwavering kindness, faith, and touched so many lives along her path here on earth.
In her early years, she attended Princeton High School, where she graduated in 1976. She went on to build a dedicated and rewarding career in the aerospace industry, working for Kratz Wilde and Barnes Aerospace for approximately 30 years before retiring. Her strong work ethic, commitment, and professionalism left an impression on all those who had the privilege of working alongside her.
While working at Barnes Aerospace, she met Jerry Ranson. Their relationship grew over the years, and they were united in marriage in 2007, sharing a bond built on love, companionship, and devotion.
She became a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Clayton Waller Sr., where she faithfully served and sang in the choir. One of her favorite songs to sing was “How I Got Over” by the legendary Aretha Franklin, a reflection of her deep faith and gratitude. She loved her church family dearly and the love continued as the congregation transitioned into The City of Promise Church under the leadership of Bishop Gary G. Hayles.
Amongst many things she enjoyed cooking, drawing, bowling, arts and crafts, and singing gospel music. She especially cherished spending time with family and friends, with the holidays holding a special place within her heart, where she found joy in togetherness, laughter, dancing, reminiscing, and making lasting memories.
Gail Holland Ranson was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, cousin and friend. She had such a gentle spirit and warm heart, always putting her family before herself. Gail was always there when a family member was in need, to ensure they felt valued and loved.
Gail Holland Ranson will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Though she is no longer with us, her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
