Ethelene Blue was born November 23, 1936 in Georgiana, Alabama. She was the oldest child born to Ethel Baggett Simpson and James Simpson. Ethelene accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Revelation Baptist Church. She later joined Shiloh Seventh Day Adventist Church. She graduated from Hughes High School in 1956.
