Erskine Frison Sr., age 84, passed away on November 27, 2023. Erskine was born in Docena, Alabama to King David Frison and Vivian Frison.
He was preceded in death by his parents, King David Frison and Vivian Lamar Frison, wife, Georgia B. Frison, brothers, Eddie and David Frison; and sister, Drucilla Frison.
He leaves to cherish his memory, five children, Howard Young, Jibreel Abdul-Shaheed, Erskine (Sheryl) Frison Jr., Sonja Frison, and Ursula Frison; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Hamilton, and Audrey (Earl) Frison Robinson; sister in law, Jessie Frison; and a host of other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 16, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Thompson, Hall, and Jordan Funeral Home 11400 Winton Road Forest Park, Ohio 45240. Funeral service to follow beginning at 11:00 AM.
Burial will take place at West Memory Gardens in Dayton, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to Erskine’s favorite charity, St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.

Oh I am so extremely sorry to learn this. I just tried calling him to check in because we hadn’t talked for awhile and got a Verizon message. I then googled his name and was so shocked to see his obituary. I loved Erskine, we worked together for years (I’m the one who wrote the poem for him at the big birthday party). Please know that if I had known, I would have been at the funeral. My deepest condolences to the family and I now grieve my dear friend.
