Ernestine Jarrell

Ernestine Jarrell was born on February 6, 1941, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Mattie Young and Vincent Bohanan. Ernestine was the youngest of 5. Two brothers; James Young and John Peoples, two sisters; Yvonne Cook and Audrey Carr.

Ernestine attended Woodward High School. Shortly after she met her husband, Willis Lee Jarrell. Ernestine and Willis (who preceded her in death in 2002) united in Holy Matrimony in 1960. Of this union, three children were born; Anthony Jarrell, Andamo Jarrell, and Tina Jarrell Longmire (Wilbert).

Ernestine was employed at Avon for 29 years where she went on to retire from in 1997. Ernestine Jarrell lived a happy life and enjoyed it to the fullest! She LOVED her family and helped raise four generations. In her spare time, she took pleasure in traveling, going to bingo, gambling at the Casino, thrifting, and she absolutely LOVED some Pepsi!

Ernestine was preceded in death by her husband Willis, mother Mattie, son Andamo, and three siblings.

She leaves to rejoice in her memory her children, 10 grandchildren; Dante Robb, Indya Malone, Tasha Longmire, Anton Jarrell, Tanya Longmire (Avery), Tina R. Longmire (De’Andre, Sr.), Vianca Jarrell, Jordan Jarrell, JaLisa Jarrell, and Kyle Jarrell. 17 Great Grandchildren; Mikayla Taylor, Tayana Little, Taniyah Little, Te’Ajah Little, Donte Little, Jr., Kamari Jarrell, De’Ani Waller, Da’Kari Lattimore, Demi Waller, Anuva Squire, Anais Squire, De’Andre Waller, Jr., King Jarrell, Mariah Humphrey, Jeremiah Scott, Aheirian Jarrell, Jase Jarrell. Two great great grandchildren; Jhream Lattimore and Aubrey Taylor. One God Great granddaughter Aryn Hutsell.

Ernestine will sincerely be missed and remembered by many.
