Eric Eugene Smith

Eric Eugene Smith was born October 22,1948 in Chicago, Illinois and lived until age 77 to (deceased) Eugene Smith born 1923, and (deceased) Robbie Angela Eberhardt Smith, 1920 at Provident Hospital. He passed away on October 3, 2026, just shy of his birth date.

Eric attended Chicago, Illinois schools, Bass Elementary, until the death of his mother Robbie in 1959. In Atlanta, he attended Our Lady of Lourdes Elementary then returned to Chicago. Juliette Lowe Middle School then on to Harlan H. S. graduating in 1966. He returned to Atlanta to Morehouse College where he graduated in 1970 with a degree in Business after having joined Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.

Upon graduation from Morehouse College, he entered the world of business with Western Electric, then management with IBM, and concluded with Microsoft.

Upon graduation he married Marquelyn (deceased) and then gave birth to daughter Erica. Beverly(deceased) was married to him in Houston, and Brent was born. Eric married Julia with one son, Tony, to whom he remained married until his passing.

He is also survived by his two sisters, Karla Denise (Alexander) and Robin Gigi (Allen) along with Carol Sharp whom joined the family after his father remarried to Jeanette in 1961.
