Eldred T. Abrams, affectionately known to many as “Ellie,” passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026, at Hospice of Cincinnati, surrounded by the love of her family. She was 82 years old.
A lifelong resident of Cincinnati, Ohio, Eldred lived a life defined by devotion to family, quiet strength, and joy in the everyday moments. She shared 61 loving years of marriage with her devoted husband, Jack, building a life rooted in commitment, laughter, and deep affection.
Eldred was a proud graduate of Regina High School and dedicated many years of her working life to Sears Roebuck, from which she eventually retired. Her work ethic and dependability were hallmarks of her character traits that carried through every part of her life.
Faith was central to Eldred’s life. She was a longtime member of Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, where she found comfort, community, and spiritual grounding.
Those who knew Eldred will forever remember her infectious smile, joyful laughter, and warm presence. She had a way of making people feel welcome and valued. She found her greatest happiness in bowling, traveling, and most of all, spending time with her four daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of her life.
Eldred was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Kautzman and Eldred Kautzman; her brother Philip (Dora); and her sister Nancy (Jack).
She is survived by her loving husband, Jack; her sister Betty; and her four daughters, Tina (Jon), Angie (Steve), Tracey and Jamie.
She also leaves behind ten cherished grandchildren Ashley, Nicholas, Samantha, Donavan, Riley, Ezra, Claire, Owen, Mikae’ja, and Ava. As well as numerous great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immeasurable joy to her life.

Eldred’s legacy lives on through the love she shared, the family she nurtured, and the countless smiles she brought into the lives of others. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
