Earlene Strawder was born to Sherman W.C. Strawder and Mary F. Strawder on February 22, 1945, in Lebanon, Tennessee. Earlene was called from home to glory peaceably on May 7, 2023 at Indian Springs Nursing Home.
Earlene was preceded in death by her parents Mr. & Mrs. Sherman and Mary Strawder; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret L. (Strawder) Hill and Glenda A. (Strawder) Nash; two nieces, Margaret Hill and Alfreda Hill; and one aunt, Emma M. Grace.
Earlene attended Cincinnati Public Schools. She graduated from Hughes High School in 1963 (Go Big Red). At an early age Earlene accepted Jesus Christ under Pastor Wesley Maxie leadership.
After graduation Earlene move to Cleveland, Ohio, where she stayed for 10 years. Upon moving back to Cincinnati, Earlene re-united with Corinthian Baptist Church and remained faithful until her health no longer permitted.
Earlene was a member of several ministries in the church: Drama Ministry; Food Pantry; and Senior Usher Board. She was employed at Garden Park Nursing Home for 28 years.
Earlene leaves to cherish her memories; three nephews, Charles and Nathan Hill of Cleveland, Ohio and Timothy Hill of Miami, Florida; one aunt, Mrs. Rose Figgins; one uncle, Mr. Leonard McKnight (Norma); and a host of cousins and friends.
