In Loving Memory of Dorothy “Dot” Moore

Dorothy Moore, affectionately known as Dot, was born in Sylacauga, Alabama to Helen Stringer and James Kidd on November 1, 1942. At a young age, Dot moved to Hamilton, Ohio with her mother, where she attended Hamilton public schools and built a life rooted in faith, family, and hard work.
Dot began her career with the Internal Revenue Service in Kentucky, resigning in 1981. She later joined Quick Pak, where she worked diligently until her retirement in 2012. Outside of work, Dot found joy in sewing, crocheting, and fishing—especially alongside her beloved life partner, Lamar Mullins.
A woman of faith, Dot accepted the Lord as her Savior early in life and was baptized at Second Baptist Church in Hamilton, Ohio. Her spiritual foundation guided her through life’s seasons with grace and compassion.
Dot transitioned peacefully on Thursday, August 21, 2025, gaining her heavenly wings. She was preceded in death by her loving mother Helen Stringer, brother William Stringer, life partner Lamar Mullins, and cherished Aunt, Thelma (Wesley) Bradford.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength in the hearts of those who knew her Daughter: Betty Jo Wallace of Hamilton, OH, Granddaughters: LaToya Smith and Rolanda Flowers of Hamilton, OH, Great-grandchildren: Marley Williams and Marquis Washington of Hamilton, OH, Sister: Geraldine (Daniel) Johnson of Hephzibah, GA, Nieces: Donna Johnson of Virginia, Antoinette (Martin) Charles of Florida, and special niece Destinee (Derrick) Singletary of Middletown, OH and A host of other beloved relatives and friends
Those who were blessed to know her will forever cherish dot’s memory. Her legacy lives on in every stitch she sewed, every story she shared, and every soul she touched.
