She was preceded in death by her parents, Hester Lee Griffin, and Myrtle Lee Townsend; husband, Alexander Welch; and grandson, Keontay Welch

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Hester Rush and Alexandria (Jamie) McWilliams; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Albert Lee Griffin and David Lee Griffin; and a host of other relatives and friends.
