DeVore Brown, age 78, passed away on July 31, 2021. DeVore was born in Paris, KY to Leon Houston and Nannie Brown. DeVore was married to Dora Lee Lightning. To this union was born six children, Mischelle, Nan, Darcy, Leila, Elitha, and Renee.

He was preceded in death by parents Leon Houston, and Nannie Brown; stepfather, Waymond Brown; wife, Dora Lee; two children, Leila and Renee; and brothers; Willie Dean and George Brown.

He is survived by his children, Mischelle (David) Gearring, Nan, Darcy (Robin) Brown, Elitha, and Motako Harkless; 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
