Diarus Denzel Roper was born on July 15, 1994, as a blessing to his parents, Delores Lett and Darrin Roper. He departed this life on Monday, November 3, 2025.
Diarus graduated from Mt. Healthy High School in 2013. He was a determined young man who overcame many obstacles to proudly walk with his class to receive his diploma — an accomplishment of which he was very proud.
Diarus was extremely hard-working. He was employed with Janco Cleaning Services for over 10 years as a Janitorial Specialist, where he took tremendous pride in his work and was known for his loyalty and dedication. Earlier this year, he accepted a role at Hollywood Casino, carrying the same strong work ethic with him to that position. He did not believe in taking time off work. If you wanted him to come to an event, it had better be on one of his days off. He was serious about his responsibilities and his money.
The only thing he was more serious about than his work was his mother. Diarus loved his mama deeply. They spent a lot of time together, and he was always there to help her in any way she needed. He also looked out for his sister, Candice, making sure she was always okay. His care for his family was constant and genuine.
Diarus was one of the sweetest souls you could ever meet. He had a calm, laid-back spirit and never wanted to be around drama or confusion. He genuinely wanted everyone to just be happy and get along.
A true homebody, if he wasn’t at work, you could find him in his room playing video games or listening to music. He was anxiously awaiting the release of the latest version of his favorite game, GTA 6.
Diarus’s smile could light up the darkest night, and his laughter was a joy to everyone. Yet behind that brightness, he carried burdens none of us could see. His sudden passing has left us with questions that may never be answered and an emptiness filled with love and precious memories.
Diarus was preceded in death by his grandparents Charles and Yvonne Lett and Alice Roper, his aunts Yvette Williams and Anita Lewis, and his uncles Mark and Michael Roper. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted mother, Delores Lett, his father, Darrin Roper, his loving siblings, brother- Darrin Lett and sisters- Tamara (Antoine) Lett, Candice Gordon, Ayonna, Nevaeh, and Darrionna Roper, his aunt Chanda (Robert) Hardy, his uncles William Smith, Charles Andrews and Kevlen Roper, a special niece Aniah Lett, and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly. Though our hearts are broken, we are comforted in knowing that Diarus’s spirit will live on through the love he gave to us all.
