Curtis Dunson, Sr was born April 12, 1940, to the late Pulmer Dunson and Geneva Houston Dunson. Curtis was one of two children born to this union.
Curtis was preceded in death by his sister Mattie Ruth Johnson. Curtis also had six other siblings, three of whom preceded him in death and three living, Apostle Robert L. (Joyce) Dunson, Willie Ruth Dunson, and Randy Dunson of Atlanta, GA.

Curtis enjoyed driving dump trucks, working on cars, and he had a green thumb for gardening and growing plants. He enjoyed watching western movies. He had a good friend, Jamie Mincey.

Curtis was married for 63 years to the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Louise Dunson. To the union five children were born. Lynda (Gary) Blakeman, Curtis Jr, Toney, Michael, and Sharon Dunson all of Cincinnati, Oh. There are three special grandchildren whom he loved dearly, LaShawn, DeMarco, and Sasha. Curtis leaves 19 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends to cherish his memory.
