Craig Lewis was born November 20, 1959 to Stanley E. Lewis and Shirley A. Talbert. Born second of their two children. Craig was educated through private and public school’s in Detroit, Michigan and Denver, Colorado.
Raised in and around music gave Craig his foundation to write and create stories and music. Craig loved music and writing music with his uncle Billy. He was vibrant young man who loved to travel. He worked in the airline industry and was able to travel across the water’s to the places you can only dream of, such as, Morocco, Egypt, Dubai, Japan, the Caribbean Islands and lived 3 years in Hawaii.
Craig is survived by his father Stanley (Jean) Lewis, Shirley (Robert) Sutherland; two brothers, Stanley R. Lewis and James Sutherland; four sisters, Robin Cleaver, Lisa Lewis, Jennifer Lewis, and Joy Sutherland; and two step-brothers.
Craig was married three times. Bridget Johnson, one son; Marie Lewis, two step-daughters, and Malika. Father to four children (Sandra Smith-Mother), Matthew Johnson, Tina, Katrina, and Nile Lewis and six grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Craig will truly be missed by his best friends, Judge Greg Mathis, Nate Pullman, and Terry Howard, Gloria Williams, and Regina Collins. A special thanks to Carol Matthews.
