Connie Lee Williams (Hodge) was the second of 15 children born to the late
Mark Hodge Sr. and Elva (Kidd) Hodge in Cincinnati, Ohio on October 22,
1947. She was raised in Lincoln Heights, and attended Lincoln Heights
Elementary and Lincoln Heights High School. In about 1963, she met Henry
Lee Williams, the love of her life, and they were joined in Holy matrimony on
August 14, 1964, in this union was born three children Henrietta, Joyce and
Victor.
At a young age, Connie received the Holy Ghost and was baptized in the
name of Jesus, at the First Pentecostal Church of Blue Ash, Ohio under the
pastoral of the late Bishop Eddie Lee Forster. There she served at whatever
her hands found to do serving for many years as dining room helper,
missionary, choir member, Preacher and Bishop Foster personal driver.
In 1983, she was called by the Lord to start a work under his tutorage, which
she was reluctant at first because she loved her Pastor and her church. After
he preached several messages about “ It’s time for the eagle to leave the
nest”, and his encouragement, Gods Way Tabernacle was established.
She pastored and labored in this ministry for 34 years. During which time
many of souls have been saved. She has touched so many lives because of
her love for people and by preaching Repentance and being baptized in
Jesus name, advising people to live Holy and sanctified life unto the Lord. It’s
either Heaven or Hell for eternity.
