Claude Livers Sr. And Ella Mae Livers of New Liberty, Kentucky welcomed Claude Livers Jr. to the world on July 20, 1932. Claude joined his sisters Ruth, Virginia, and brother Emory. A few years later Ray would complete the family.
Claude graduated from Lincoln Institute of Kentucky. After graduating he joined the United States Army while stationed at Fort Lee in Petersburg, Virginia he would meet Florence Ella Palmer at the Horseshoe Restaurant then a popular spot for African Americans. The two dated and married on December 18, 1952. The couple would move to Cincinnati, Ohio where they joined Revelation Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. George W. Sangster and later Rev. Fred L. Shuttlesworth.
Claude was a contributing member to three churches during his life Revelation Baptist, Greater New Light Baptist Church, and Allen Temple AME. Claude was a founding member of Greater New Light Baptist Church in 1966. He taught Sunday School for thirty years while working at the United States Postal Service for thirty-eight years where he retired as Superintendent of Window Services. Claude served as president of the National Lincoln Alumni Association, (an organization dedicated to providing scholarship assistance to deserving young people) he was also member of the Male Chorus.
Claude is survived by his son Charles Anthony (Ancella) grandsons Lateef (Melanie), Akil (Cathryn) his brother Ray (Lillian) great grandson Amari and numerous wonderful nieces and nephews. And three special people angels on earth Cathy Tatum, Joan Hendricks, and Armand Tatum.
