My Dear Dad I’m lighting a candle in memory of your Birthday 9/11 I’m at peace, I know you are resting in peace. I’m grateful to have experience such a great man whom I call Daddy. Theirs a void of your presence. However, it’s alright. You gave me everything a Daddy have to give to his Baby girl. I never had to search for Love, Knowledge, Support, Wealth in someone else you provided all those things. Thank you! God blessed you with 81 years. Most importantly You was able to tell me you was proud of me and call on me in Thee end…

I remember Mr. Clarence well from Findlater Gardens. He would walk through the neighborhood making sure we kids were not out of order. He walked with a lot of swag and personality emphasizing his statue.....big. As a young teenager, I saw him definitely as a personality to be reckoned with and not forgotten. His time on this earth will be remembered by all the people, young and old, that he interacted with. He truly was a fighter for the African American people. Karen Turner Thomas
