To Linda,Beth, Jimmy and the entire Fenderson family. Your mom and dad meant a lot to us. Two great people. I hope you know how special your mom was to me. Such a classy lady. So poised, so kind , so caring. I'll always remember all the kind and loving things she shared with me. Words can't express how special she was to me. Although I understand how hard this is for everyone just think of all the laughter and precious memories you will hold in your hearts forever. May God continue to bless each and everyone of you. With all sincerity, Dodie and Graham Isome.

A bright shining star that will always be with those who love her. Clara lifted you up. She had a gentle, sometimes self-deprecating humor that let you know your own shortcomings and trials in life made no difference to her. Clara was a healer. She took account and made the best of whatever presented itself with FLAIR. A lovely, lovely lady who will be deeply missed. I hope her loved ones can imagine the royal reception Clara is receiving in heaven today and find solace.

Patrick Gandy left a message on November 17, 2020:
Dear Beth and Linda (Orlinda), I am deeply saddened at the passing of Aunt Clara. I am sorry for the two of you, your children and I'm sorry for the rest of our families. Though we accept the passing of time and we know we will all succumb, it is never easy. My memories of Aunt Clara are of warmth and kindness. She was always smiling when I saw her. She was never cross or full of herself nor unhappy. Is this even possible? We all strive to be upbeat and share a smile and a kind word. She did. I remember her like that. Your mom and uncle Joe invited me and a friend over to dinner at their home in Florida when we were working there. They were warm and kind to us young silly people who thought we knew everything and thought we had the world at our feet. This is a good look on young black people. They fed us, smiled at us and then sent us on our way full of good food and old fashioned hospitality. I think I remember them being suspect of my date. They gave her the side-eye. Still, I married her and then we weren't married anymore. They knew! My memories may be more nostalgic than true because I was a child when I saw them most. I remember the house in Walnut Hills, getting candy at the pony-keg, Aunt Clara ever fashionable and smiling, Uncle Joe, Uncle Walt, Uncle Sammy, parties at Aunt Mary and Uncle Ted's house, all the food Aunt Mary always cooked and Uncle Joe ate, sneaking beer and wine, my mother (Sadie) not taking a drop of anything and my dad, Julius, in turtle necks or dickies. The smells of summer and winter are vivid and my uncles and aunts were young people, sharp, driving beautiful cars and cooler than any character Hollywood could ever create because they all had hustle and heart. I moved away from Cincinnati the summer of 1980. I was not around much after that but I have a feeling about Uncle Joe and I can still see Aunt Clara smile. It had to be real, because I have a good feeling about them. It's warm. God Bless you Beth, God Bless you Linda (Orlinda). I love you both. Patrick Gandy
