I knew Charles 17.5 years and wish I had another 17.5 more to spend time with him. I’m going to miss our long conversations and you laughing telling my mom “that girl can talk”. I made it a point to be at your home sitting in that kitchen table with you every 3-4 months like clockwork. I’m going to miss spending Christmas/your birthdays with you. Thank you for your long tight hugs. They always cheered me up when I was feeling down. I’m going to miss your face brightening up the room and your sharp clothes. Everyone calls you my step dad, being my mom Christines companion, but you were truly my close friend. We miss you dearly.

I'm a in total shock! Our conversations meant the world to me..... Thank you for the laughs and family history. We talked about family so much and joked about Papa being a rolling stone. Who am I going to talk to now? I wish that I could have told you how far I got on our Ancestry tree!

I worked with Charles for many years. He was always a positive and enthusiastic person and it was obvious that he enjoyed life. As his manager I appreciated that he was a reliable and competent person. He was a valuable part of a team that successfully completed a project that was applied in a commercial production process.
When I was transferred from Cincinnati, Charles was one of the persons I was not happy to leave behind. In addition to being a member of our research group, I also considered Charles to be a friend and we had many discussions, especially during a period of time when the project required round the clock staffing. Charles will be missed by many.
