Charlene was married to the late George L. Williams. There were five children born to this union. They moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in 1960. There, Charlene worked as a Psychiatric Nursing Assistant at the University of Cincinnati. She retired in 1996 after 25 years of service.
Charlene was a kind, caring, thoughtful, giving, trustworthy, driven woman. She was strong in, and enjoyed, her faith as a Jehovah’s Witness. She loved, loved, loved animals and always had several pets (not least among them Paws, aka Kitty Kitty). Charlene was a nurturing mother, grandmother, co-worker, friend, and neighbor.
Charlene was preceded in death by siblings Melvin “Bobo” Finley and Orrie Calloway.
She leaves to cherish and rejoice in her memory five loving children–Ruby Oliver, Celestine Moore (Charles), Yvonne Williams, Cynetta Williams, and Anthony Williams, all of Cincinnati Ohio; four siblings–Christine Vines of Anniston, Alabama, Gussie L. Vines of Opelika, Alabama, Ray Finley of Cincinnati, Ohio, and R. Dennis Jennings of LaGrange, Georgia; 17 grandchildren–James Williams, Troy Williams, Eddie (Mickey) Butts, Preston Boone, Julian Oliver, Tiffany Arnold (David), Amber Payne, Tiara Daniels, Marko Williams, Mekko Williams, Meagan Williams, Myiya Crawford, Tanisha Richards, Tara Richards, Tia Richards, Tamara Richards, and Asia Moore; a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Charlene was immensely loved by her family and leaves behind an abundance of beautiful and loving memories.
