Catherine Jean Murray, (Cat) so lovingly called by her siblings, friends and other family members was born on April 24, 1943 to Frank and Anna Brooks. She was preceded in death by both of her parents and by her sister, Willa Brooks.
Catherine was an excellent seamstress and loved gardening. Her true passions were preparing food for her family and shopping. She was never afraid to speak her mind and give her opinion if you asked. She rededicated her life to Christ later in life and attended St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church near her home.
Catherine was united in wedlock to Rudolph Murray on July 24, 1974. There were no biological children from their union. Catherine leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Rudolph Murray, daughters: Brenda Robinson, Linda Spriggs, LaVerne (Gregory) Adams, and Rita Tony.
She leaves to cherish her memory siblings: Mary (Sherman) Bell, Frank (Mary Jo) Brooks, Alberta Brooks- Peak, and Katherine Sanders.
