Carolyn Ruth Robb (née Gartrell) was born on January 15, 1947 to Ada F. Gartrell and Rufus Strickland in Cincinnati, Ohio. She fell asleep in death on January 31, 2022 at the age of 75.
Carolyn grew up in Cumminsville where she attended Garfield Elementary and was an A and B student. As a child she loved to go rollerskating and to go swimming with friends at Garfield pool. She got baptized at the age of ten.
Carolyn later graduated from Hughes High school. One of her first jobs was working for a trucking company called Wilson Freight. She later went on to work for Deaconess Hospital where she attained many employee awards and retired after decades of service.
Carolyn loved to shop and travel. She was a member of the Jolly Travelers club for over 25 years until her health declined. She was very involved in her church Greater Grace Christian Ministry Church.
Carolyn leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Toni Gartrell; son Desi Robb (Nancy); sisters Catherine Gartrell and Alma Gartrell; granddaughters Tianna Gartrell, Angelica Zaccaria, Madison Robb and Desiree Cobb; grandson Eddie Cobb; a host of nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her brothers Richard Gartrell, Nathan Gartrell, Donald Gartrell, Joseph Gartrell, Christian Gartrell; sisters Gladys Charles, Marie Dorman, Agnes Gartrell; and grandson Anthony James Belser.
