Bruce Edward Fox Sr., 68, passed away May 23, 2022 in Colorado Springs, CO. Bruce was born September 10, 1953 in Pineville, LA and was raised in Alexandria, LA and Detroit, MI. For the last few years Bruce suffered from dementia. This deteriorated his mind, his memories and his health. Even though it tried, it never broke his spirit.
Bruce, aka Sgt. Quick, was a member of the 82nd Airborne where he proudly served in the United States Army. After his time in the Army, Bruce began working with Ford Motor Company where he retired after 33 years of service as a Tool & Die Maker. In retirement he spent his time working for Meals on Wheels and he started his own business, Kingdom Keys Locksmith, where he spent his years serving businesses and families in retirement.
Bruce was an incredible God fearing man and could be found serving in his home church of New Friendship Baptist Church in Cincinnati, OH and then Word of Deliverance in Forest Park, OH in several different ministries. Bruce loved his family, his friends, his church and he loved being a grandpa. Bruce loved golfing, ballroom dancing, coaching his sons youth sports teams, his walking club, going to concerts and spending time with his family.
Always admired wherever he went, his smile, his warmth, his love for God and his humility captured the hearts of anyone he met. His life was filled with so much joy, love, peace and happiness because of his family, church and friends.
Bruce was preceded in death by his mother Catherine Fox Touchstone, adoptive father Clinton Touchstone and his aunts Cora Clark and Ruby Johnson. Forever missed, Bruce leaves behind his brother Alfred Fox, four children Mario (Sara) Payne, Sherrice (Danyel) Fox, Bruce Fox Jr., Timothy Fox, his granddaughter Miranda Payne and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family whom he loved dearly. Bruce’s children give special thanks to their mother and his former spouse of 26 years, Sheila, for always loving Bruce and helping him raise four children that he was so incredibly proud of.
