Brenda was born on June 11, 1953, and passed on March 4, 2026. She was born to Rosie Lee Martin and Carl Lane, Sr. She had one sister, Cheryl (Martin) Montgomery. Her Brothers were Kenneth Martin, Leonard Martin, Sr. and Michael Martin. All three of her brothers preceded her in death.
She was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and attended East High. Upon Completion of high school, she attended the Jane Adams School of Nursing and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. Later in life, she took several college courses and was a straight A student. Additionally, she successfully completed a course to become a certified Paralegal, which became an asset in her health care career.
Brenda was the loving wife of Bruce G. Bufford for 43 years, the mother of their son, Bruce “Jaison” Bufford and mother-in-law of his wife Sashay. Additionally, she was the loving grandmother of four grandchildren, Syncere, Syrenity and twins Symara and Sylas.
Brenda spent her entire career as an LPN, most of which was while working for the Cincinnati Veterans Administration Medical Center. She loved caring for our nation’s Heros in a variety of ways and was a two-time winner of “Nurse of the Year”.
Brenda was a Christian woman and loved reading the Bible. She also loved spending time with her hobbies of reading, baking cakes, sewing, jewelry, drawing, knitting, pottery and belly dancing.
She is survived by her husband Bruce, her son Jaison (Sashay), her sister Cheryl (Hugh), Grandchildren and others including in-laws, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
She is now at peace in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father.
