Barbara Jean Slaughter was born to Clifford Slaughter,
Jr. and the late Ida Mae Slaughter on November 29, 1950.
Barbara Jean exchanged her life for eternity on September
6, 2013 at the tender age of 62, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Barbara Jean accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at an
early age and was baptized at Ebenezer 2nd Baptist
Church. Barbara Jean remained a member at Ebenezer
2nd Baptist Church until she became an adult and unable
to attend due to illness.

Barbara Jean loved to help her family in any way that
she could. She would stay for weeks at a time to help
babysit her nieces and nephews, and all she required in
exchange was a sufficient supply of her favorite drink,
Coca Cola (Coke).
Barbara Jean knew the Word of God. She always quoted
scriptures to everyone around her. She made it a point to
constantly remind everyone that Jesus loves them and
that He will never leave or forsake us.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her dad, Clifford
Slaughter, Jr.; her step-mother, Tommie Slaughter; her
siblings, Willie Slaughter, Clifford Slaughter III, Marilyn
Rogers-McLaughlin (David), Darlene Pierre (James) of
Chicago, Illinois, Aaron Rogers and Yolawnda Rogers-
Ballard (Jamie); nieces and nephews, and a host of great
nieces, great nephews, cousins, close relatives and friends.
