Barbara Ann Andrews

Barbara Ann Andrews passed away in her sleep on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at the age of 82.

She was born to George W. Linen and Sadie Mae Tinsley Linson (deceased) in Hazlehurst, Mississippi on January 6, 1941. She attended Morley High School in Southeast Missouri. Barbara known as “Barb” or “Bob” was a gardener, seamstress and cook; best known for her amazing pound cakes! She married Tassie J. Andrews Sr. (deceased) and was a mother to 5 children.

After Barbara’s retirement from Jim Beam Industries, her unquenched thirst for life revealed her talents as a writer, and a lover of travel and adventure with friends and family.

Barb was a loving and caring person to those closest to her and kind to others whose lives she touched.

She will be very much missed by all of her family and friends. Loved always.
Barbara “Bob, Barb” is survived by her children: Tassie John Andrews, Jr, Thomas Earl Andrews, Belinda Yvette Lucky and Maxine Costner. Two of her children are deceased: Bruce Wayne Linson and Gregory Neal Andrews.

She is also survived by sisters and brother: Lee Bertha Guidry, Myrna A.Robinson, Albert W. Linson, Gladys M. Linson, and Patricia F. Washington (in order of oldest to youngest). Deceased brothers and sisters: Georgia Elma Holliman, Dorothy Jean Bennett, Billy Linson, Thomas Earl Linson. Her 7 grandchildren, Christopher Rooks, Tassie Andrews Jr., Sharelle Andrews, Alicia & Amber Lucky and Thomas Sol Andrews Jr. along with great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews on both sides of the family tree (Andrews and Linson).
