Aubrie Chanelle Shears

Aubrie Shears passed away on August 4, 2023, after 2+ years of battling a rare heart disease, Dilated Cardiomyopathy. Aubrie was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on October 11, 2020, to parents, Mariah Morrow and Shaton Shears. Aubrie was a very active and happy toddler. Her very presence and smile lit up the room when she walked in. With two older brothers, she was affectionately nicknamed “baby” and often referred to herself as such. She loved watching Trolls, “Pon-Bob” (SpongeBob), “Paw Po” (Paw Patrol), Moana, and “Mmm Mouse” (Mickey Mouse). She enjoyed singing along to Gracie’s Corner, Frozen, Old Mac Donald, Baby Shark and any song with a good beat, including commercials. Some of her favorite things to do were going to softball games, playing with her large toy collection, wrestling with her brothers, playing dress up, coloring, covering her mommy head-to-toe with stickers, driving her little red G-Wagon, and being showered with lots of affection by her family. Her love for shopping, painted fingers and toes, and all things sparkly will always be remembered.

Aubrie was the most polite and compassionate little girl. “Please”, “thank you”, and “bless you” were common phrases in her vocabulary. When she noticed someone was sad or injured, she would always offer a hug, a kiss, and raise her little thumbs and ask, “better?”. Even though she was tiny, she would still stretch out her hand, grunting while using all her strength to help someone up. She was also very good at telling someone to “sit” or “sit down” when she noticed they were feeling ill. She may have been a little bossy but was very observant and caring. Her compliments were frequent as she would never fail to let you know if you looked pretty, smelled good, or were wearing nice shoes. She made sure everyone knew who her mommy was by holding on tight while saying “my mommy” at any time… anywhere…completely unprovoked.

Aubrie is survived by parents: Mariah Morrow & Shaton Shears, Siblings: Anthony Shears & Easton Shears,  Grandparents, Brian & Cheryl Anderson, Henrietta Gutter, and Shawn Shears (Shantera), Godmother: Unique Irby,     Godfathers: Nick Bengel & Ethan Bonnell, Aunts: Jasmine Williams (Terrell), Siera Morrow (Nick), Daja Horne, Asia Shears, Shaquala Gutter, Uncles: Dearius Powell, Brian Anderson Jr., Shawn Shears, Demarco Gutter, Shavonte Shears, Anthony Morrow, Shatwon Shears, Cameron Oshodi, Anderson Huckaby, Maizon Jackson, and Trevon Morrow, Dog Brothers: Harley & Louie, and a host of cousins, friends, and extended family who all loved her so much.

Aubrie touched so many lives in her short time with us and will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Her sweet spirit, infectious laugh, and beautiful smile will live in our hearts forever.
