Arnold James Elliott Sr. was born November 11, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the 8th child born to the union of Roosevelt & Mary Ann Jones-Elliott. Arnold departed life in the physical form on January 15, 2026. He was preceded in peace by both of his parents; first born son: Arnold J Elliott Jr.; siblings: Nathaniel, Thomas & William (Linda) Elliott, Virginia (William) Parker, Danny Crew, Bertha Gordon, Anna Parks, Alma Smythe, Bessie Young, Edna Thompson and Florence Rita Brooks.
Arnold enjoyed playing sports. He excelled in boxing, gymnastics, track & field, baseball and playing the guitar. He was also an excellent swimmer. Arnold was extremely gifted with his hands. He could build just about anything which was one of his many talents. Arnold received an education within the Cincinnati Public Schools where he attended Heinold Jr. High and Hughes High School. Thereafter, Arnold was drafted into the United States Army. He was stationed in Vietnam where he earned two bronze stars. After serving 6 years Arnold returned home and worked as a mail clerk for the United States Post Office. He went on to work at Reliance Medical Products where he was a dedicated employee for over 40 years until he retired. He loved the peaceful simple life which consisted of him playing his lottery numbers and relaxing in his chair while watching sports on his dual TV screen. His home was the heart of many family gatherings filled with love, laughter and unity. Arnold’s sons and nephews especially looked up to him, they were always eager to be around him. He shared with everyone a lot of knowledge and wisdom. Creating bonds that were built on love, respect and loyalty was something that came naturally for Arnold.
Arnold enjoyed working out and maintaining his physical fitness. Although small in stature, Arnold knew how to protect himself and carried himself with great confidence. Arnold was quiet and always kept to himself; but those who truly knew him understood the strength, humor and kindness that defined him. Devoted father, Arnold took pride in his children and shared meaningful times with them over the years. Family overall meant a lot to Arnold.
Arnold was deeply loved and admired as a father, brother, uncle and friend. He leaves to cherish his memory; last surviving sibling: Florence (Sylvester) Darks, Children: Tyler (Emily) Brown, Nicole (James) Joyner, Delisa Sims and Howard “Maurice” Frazier; Grandchildren: Latoya, Jasmine, Bianca, Arnold III, Taylor, Jacob, Kayla, Dashon, Teran, Demarco, Qwameika, Dayqwan & Keniya and close friend Robert Lee Heath. Also a host of great grandchildren, relatives and friends.
Arnold will be truly missed! His presence left a lasting impact and his love will continue to live on in all who knew him.
