Anthony D. Myles was born on November 29, 1950, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Mattie Rucker and Lenord Myles, and was also lovingly raised by his stepfather, Rogers Rucker. Anthony, affectionately known as “Tony”, proudly grew up in Avondale, and attended Hughes and Aiken High School where he lettered in football and baseball.
Tony had many accomplishments in his early years as he enlisted and served in the US Navy assigned to the USS Cone (DD866), graduated from Central State with an associate’s degree in business administration and found his passion to helping others as a Firefighter and Paramedic.
Tony met the love of his life, Deborah Burgess- Myles, in 1976 where they relocated and resided in Denver, Colorado for over thirteen years building life-long bonds with a trusted circle of friends that became family.
Tony was known as the proud and devoted patriarch of his family working at Miller Brewing Company and retiring after 18 years of employment. Tony had a deep passion for photography, finding joy in capturing meaningful moments and using his images to tell stories that reflected life’s lessons, always shared with encouragement and love. He also enjoyed fishing, watching sports, and telling memorable stories.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mattie Rucker, Lenoard Myles and Rogers Rucker, siblings: Arafa Bari, Bernard Myles, Daryl Benton. Tony leaves behind to cherish his legacy: his loving wife, Deborah Burgess- Myles; sister: Gail Benton; children: Kenneth Rucker, Keevin Rucker (Qiana Kelly), Na’eem (Diana) Myles and Aaliya Myles; grandchildren: Keyashia Rucker, Kenneshia Rucker, Kenneth Rucker Jr., Kyran Rucker, Antione Lyons, Darius Kennedy, Keevin (KJ) Rucker Jr., Jayden Myles, Chloe Hall, Sydney Myles and Cru Myles; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
