AnnaBelle Jefferson-Morris was born January 19, 1938 in Cold Springs, Kentucky to the late Pearl Hollo-way Jefferson and Jordan Jefferson, Sr.
She attended and graduated from William Grant High School. AnnaBelle joined the St. James A.M.E. Church on Lynn Street in Covington, Kentucky where she met and married Clarence Morris, Jr. and had two children: Dwayne and Patrice.
AnnaBelle worked as a short order cook at Ramey’s Cafeteria in Covington for over 20 years. She also worked at Liberty and Dalton Post Office, still as a short order cook. In the early 90’s, AnnaBelle joined the Robbins Street Christian Church and sang in the church choir. She then went to work for ARA Food Service, where she worked at Procter & Gamble until her retirement.
Family members that preceded her in death were three brothers, Charles Jefferson, Jordan Jefferson, Jr. and John T. Jefferson; three sisters, Mary Hambrick, Birdie Thomas and Alice Jefferson.
She leaves to mourn: two children, Dwayne Morris (Miyoshi) and Patrice (Ron); three grandchildren, Erica Hall (Ron), Mia Bogy (Charles) and Shanee’ Gipson; five great-grandchildren, Ka’Mya Morris, Kane, Ron, Alesi and Tarrill; one sister-in-law, Margaret Jefferson; two special friends, Pearl Beach and Juanita Foster; and a host of other nieces and nephews.
