Andrew Marvin Doty, Jr. was born on August 8, 1943 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Andrew Marvin Doty, Sr. and Floretta Brown. He departed this life on Thursday, September 10, 2015.
In later years, Andrew was a member of the old Inspirational Baptist Church.
He was a proud member of the Elks Lodge. Andrew was known as “DJ” or “Doty Might” at the Satisfying Place and Cozy Corner Club. He was an independent contractor and worked many years as a handyman throughout the city. He also spent a few years at the EPA.
Andrew leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Floretta Pierce; sisters, Beverly Carter (Horace) and Eyvette Pierce; cousins, Jackie Autry, Gwen Marshall, Kittie Maxwell, Sharon Hooe, Irma Jean Dixon, Olga Scott, Nelsonia Powell and Marshalle James; nephew, Gary Doty; and a host of other relatives and many dear friends.
