and cooking. Alvin and his Gram had a special
relationship. He has three sons, Allen Grace,
and to the union of marriage through Stephanie
Grace he had two sons, Alvin D. Grace, Jr. and
Stefone L. Grace.
Alvin’s boys wanted to share with you their
thoughts about their dad: “Alvin Grace, Sr. was
a wonderful man. He was very family oriented
and cared about everybody. Dad was very protective
of his family and loved his family and
friends. He would never let you see him hurting
no matter how bad he was hurting. Dad battled
a long time with demons that a lot of people
couldn’t even imagine going through. He may
have had some flaws, but at the end of the day,
he was a man trying to right his wrongs.”
He leaves to mourn: mother, Gwendolyn
Pettis; father, Bennie Hunter; three sons, Allen,
Alvin Jr. and Stefone Grace; brother, Robert Williams, Jr.; niece, Naiyah T. Williams; sisters,
Yolanda, Lonnie and Paula; his loving grandmother,
Reva Jones; grandfather, Robert Grace
(Emma); two cousins, Apral Grace and Aaron
Grace; a special aunt, Barbara Grace; two

and Lamar Cummings (Loletha) of Louisville;
