Althea “Tuttie” Holt was born on June 17, 1957, in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Yvonne R. Cook and Charles F. Cook. She was the oldest of 10. She is preceded in death by her husband Christopher M. Holt and sister, Allie Tee Cook.
Althea attended Princeton High School where she graduated and went on to attend Southern Ohio College and obtained her associate’s degree in accounting. Later working for the IRS for several years.
Althea accepted Christ as her Savior and loved. She enjoyed church on Sundays with her loved ones at New Horizons Covenant Fellowship.
Althea enjoyed life to the fullest. She was always the life of the party. She lived, she loved and she laughed through the good times and bad. Althea gave strength, hope, and comfort even in her time of need. She was not only a mother to her children but to so many others and she loved that. She enjoyed shopping. Loved jewelry, playing her numbers and watching her stories. Most of all, she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.
She leaves to cherish in her loving memory, her son Lamont Brown, her 4 J’s, Jauana, Juanita, Janell, and Jamika; siblings, Charles (Valerie), Terry Sr. (Kim), Yvonne, Yvette, Andrea, Charlotte, Lawrence Sr. (Mitzi); 15 grandkids, 9 great grandkids; and a host of bonus kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, family, and friends. She also leaves behind her best friend “Reggie B.”, two special friends, her 227 family and her special guesting son, Randy Smith.
Althea will be remembered in love for her big heart, magical soul, vibrant personality and strong will. She will forever be remembered as a warrior, and her love will never be forgotten. Her spirit will live on strong through the hearts of those who love her.
