Alecia Deonna Garland

Alecia passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at the age of 52. Alecia was born to JaVan and Joann McCrary in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Alecia is preceded in death by her parents; Javan and Joann McCrary; two sisters; Denise McCrary and Margaret McCrary Stenson and uncle, Charles McCrary.

Alecia graduated from Hughes High School in 1988. She worked for the City of Cincinnati Sanitation Department for many years. She was very kind and loving, she loved to go to the CASINO, listening to music, couponing with friends, eating her favorite snacks and most of all she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family members.

Alecia married Duane Garland Jr. in 1992 and from this union were born four children. For the last ten years she was able to share her life with her boyfriend, Justin Wallace.

Alecia leaves to cherish three sons, Duane Garland III, Jah’niyah Garland, and Jahuan Garland; one daughter, Jahshayiah Garland; father in law, Duane Garland Sr.; five grandchildren, Duane Garland IV, Jah’siah Garland, Jah’niyah Garland Jr., Zyaire Garland and Daivon Jr.; three aunts; Glendora Massey, Starlena Massey Daniels, and Maryann; two uncles; Arthur McCrary, and Thomas McCrary; four siblings; Timothy McCrary, Sr., Javvana McCrary, Briant McCrary and Kimberly McCrary Gentry; son in laws, Marquise, and Daivon; two daughter in laws, Patricia, and Meranda; nephews, Timothy, Johnathan, Raheem (deceased), Jahseed, Walter, Dion, Anthony, William, Josh, and Treeo; nieces, Angel, Maria, Ronniceia, Trinity, Shekita, Jenayia, Shamyra, Sheena, Erica, Montavia, Alayejah, Jennifer, Dianndra, and Kemuel; three cousins, James Jr., Jon, and Michael; 10 great-nephews, Ky’ree, Timothy, Walter, Ronnez, Johnathan, Jah’Mircle, Raheem, Dewayne, Jahieem, and Rah’King; 11 great-nieces, Brionna, Ronnasia, Malaika, Trinity, Shi’mere, Da’Marionna, Ad’mire, Loretta, Spiritual, Jermany, and Giamani; great-great-nephew, Shamon; childhood best friends, Felecia, Margret, Augusta, Levea, Malaika, Makeda, Vanessa, Penny, Tanya, Damita, Anthony (Tink), and Queen; three God-daughters, Johniece, Ashley and Jameela; two brother in-laws, Eddie, and Jahwayne; three sister in-laws, Tiffany, Candice, and Joann; one aunt in-law, Deborah McCrary, and a host of other family & friends.

Public Viewing will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Thompson, Hall and Jordan Funeral Home.
