Adeline Giles was born October 29, 1930 in Emelle, Alabama. The youngest girl of 11 brothers and sisters to the late Jimmie and Hannah (Jones) Giles.
Adeline was born and raised in Emelle, Alabama. In 1954 she met and married Robert Sutton Jr, who preceded her in death in 1997. She moved to Hamilton in 1954 where she worked and retired after 32 years from Fort Hamilton Hughes Hospital. There she met her life long best friend, Mrs. Bonnie Knight.
Adeline Sutton was a proud woman that loved her family and friends and had an incredible appetite for shopping and an unrivaled hat collection. She loved the Lord and her church home, Israel Baptist Church. She sang in the choir, worked in the kitchen ministry and Vacation Bible School.
She is preceded in death her husband, Robert Sutton, her parents: Genie and Hannah Giles, her siblings: Nathaniel Giles, Luella Ramsey, Benjamin Giles, Addie B. Ramsey, Adella Johnson, Jimmie “Bud” Giles and Arizona Bowden.
She is survived by: her loving family, daughters, Sharon Messer and her husband, Troy Messer of Cincinnati, Robbie Tucker and her husband, Phil Tucker of Cincinnati; four grandsons, Larry Sutton and his wife Avangela of Chester, VA, Prentis Howard Jr and his wife Tosha of Independence, KY, Darius Howard and Kahlil Howard of Cincinnati; one step-granddaughter, Tenisha Howard-Smith of Cincinnati; one step-great granddaughter, Jasmine (Gascey) Scott and her husband Christopher Scott II of Tokyo, Japan; one great granddaughter, Layla Sutton of Chester, VA; one (step) great – great grandson, Christopher Scott III of Tokyo, Japan; one brother, James L. of Mobile, Alabama and one sister, Florence Allison of Detroit, Michigan.
