Willie love was born on April 6, 1943 in Rock Hill, South Carolina to James and Roberta Love.
Willie was a Truck Driver for over 40 years. He loved fishing. He would fish as often as he could. In his older years he enjoyed gardening. He also loved his Blues music and making people laugh. He enjoyed seeing a smile on others’ faces. He loved telling stories. He had a story for everything. Willie said that all his closet friends were in his pocket, his money. He was a generous man and would give to his family if needed. He loved his grandchildren. Whenever they would come over, they all received twenty dollars. When they turned 18, he told them “Get a job”. He loved Pepsi and candy bars. As he got older his drink of choice became Mountain Dew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Roberta Love; siblings, Robert Love, Leonna, and Maggie; his son, Michael Love; and granddaughter, Mary Love.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 57 years, Jeanette Love; two children; Derrick aka, Tony (Shelia) Love, and Carol Love (Jason McGuire); grandchildren, Shawn Love, Kimberly Love, Nicole (Tyrome), Bembry, Derrick Love Jr., Eric Love, Terrance Holden, Kendra Holden, Robert (Tiffany) Love, Janelle Love, Mark (Holly) Love Jr., Marshall (Megan) Love, Desean Williams (William Walker), and India Williams; 11 great-grandchildren; daughter in-law, Mary Love; siblings, John (Sarah) Love, Mary Gordon, James (Barbara) Love, Christine Lamb, JoAnne Stevenson, Glen (Barbara) Love, Ella Love, Beatrice Love, Jeff (Francis) Cochran, Ira Love, Netta Love, Gloria Love, and Roy Love; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
