William Brown

October 23, 1939 - November 25, 2012

William Brown, the fourth child of Jack and Mildred
(McCombs) Brown (both deceased), was born October
23, 1939 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the brother to Jack
Jr. and Sylvia (both deceased) and Paul Brown (Carolyn).
Bill graduated from Robert A. Taft High School in
1958. He worked for a short while, then joined the U.S.
Marine Corp in 1960 and served his country until his
honorable discharge in 1963. He then went into the U.S.
Marine Reserve until 1966.
After his discharge, he went to work for the City of
Cincinnati as a guard at the old “Cincinnati Workhouse.”
He later transferred to Hamilton County and worked at
the Justice Center from where he retired as “Captain” in
2006.
Bill was married to Cynthia for 34 years. She preceded
him in death in July, 2003.
Bill will be missed by: his brother, Paul and sisters-in-law,
Carolyn and Elsie; nieces, Maria, Theresa and Penny;
nephews, Paul and Jack; other family members, especially
Marian and Will; his special friend-brother, Larry Williams
who was a devoted friend.

Uncle Bill, you are truely going to be missed.I still cant beleive your gone.Gina, my son Bryce,and I were looking forward to spending time with you the week before you went into the hospital. It was always our pleasure listening to all of your stories while you were in the service and playing UNO and just laughing and watching college basketball. Thank you for all your wisdom,your smiles and every thing you taught my son and I.What a wonderful blessing it was that my son got to meet such a warm loving person, my UNCLE BILL. William Brown was a man who never complained about himself and always took time to listen to others. He was a very smart man who only took what he needed and shared the rest. He was a thinker who solved problems rather than created them. He was and always will be my inspiration. Our weekly talks will be truly missed.

I am so sorry, we all lost a friend.

Uncle Bill you will be missed dearly. Me, Randall, and Bryce will miss coming over with our Popeye's chicken to share and playing uno with you and looking at your pictures when you were in the navy and police force and watching college basketball.. I know Bryce will miss the pepperment candies you would send home with him he loved them so much. I wish we would have come over more often to visit and had a chance to see you before you passed but I'm glad I got to say goodbye to you in the hospital. I'm thankful you are resting peacefully now in heaven with your wife.

I wish to express my condolences to the family and friends of William Brown . Our Creator is near to those who are crushed in spirit at times such as these. He has guaranteed a time when death will be no more and all years of grief will be gone. A great man, Supervisor, and most of all a great fiend! You will be missed

Bill Brown was my friend for 30 plus year and one of my mentors. He had a bright smile and a wonderful sense of humor. He never met a stranger and he was always willing to lend a hand when needed. He will be missed but never forgotten. Rest in Peace my friend!

knew him from his tme as a captain at the work house. it was a pleasure to have been known him.

Captian was the most fair and honest supervisor that I had the priviledge to meet. I know he and my mother Lt. R. Hill were very close. I know he always kept an eye and ear on me. He was very respected and loved by many.

You will be TRULY MISS! You were one of the best damn supervisor to work for. Rest in Peace my friend Rest In Peace

Capt. Brown was an awesome person, never seen him in a bad mood, he was always smiling. Sorry to lose such a enjoyable person such as yourself. RIP.

You will be missed, much love and light to his family and friends. I was only a coworker but I always looked at him as a friend.

Capt. Brown was one of the sweetest individuals that you could meet. I spoke with him 3 weeks ago, and he was his usual upbeat self even though he was very ill. Rest in peace my friend. You will forever be in my memories.

Capt. Brown, (AKA Capt. Smiley) as I called him, was a wonderful man. Always Smiling, sweet, and very funny. You will truly be missed! RIP Captain!
