Timothy Edward Murphy was born in Cin- cinnati, Ohio on July 8, 1985 to the proud parents of Timothy Murphy and Christine Poin- dexter. Raised in the community of Madison- ville, he was a proud father, son and brother. He attended Cincinnati Public Schools and later received his GED. He worked as a porter for Montgomery Inn. Little Eddie, Eddie Murphy and Ebo as we called him, loved to smile, spend time with family, friends and watching his son, T.J. play football, wrestling, basketball and base- ball. Eddie loved life. He was like the shining star in the sky. He liked to dance, play basket- ball, boxing, ride horses, swim and cap on people in a joking way. He was a mathematical genius; loving numbers. Eddie accepted Christ at an early age. He was baptized at St. Luke A.M.E. Church. He was a very respectful and humble person. To know him was to love him.
He was preceded in death by his grand- mother, Rachel Murphy; his grandfathers, Douglas Edward Hughes and Paul Willis; his uncles, Rufus Poindexter and Michael Jerrell; and his stepmother, Donna Murphy.
He leaves to cherish the history of his life: his father, Timothy Murphy and his mother, Christine Poindexter; his grandmother, Mary Hughes; his three children, two sons, Timothy Edward Murphy, Jr. and Nicholas Jeremiah Murphy (Natasha Keese) and one daughter, Kamyah Janae Murphy (Kelly Ney); two sisters, Kimberly Murphy (Sylvester) and Jennifer Murphy; his uncles, Steven Poindexter, Sr. (Vivian Wilson), Jonathan Poindexter (Crystal), Eric Murphy, Kirt Willis, Kevin Willis, Bobby Jerrell and Todd Murphy; his aunts, Jennifer Pearson (Kevin Sr.), Paulette Summerline, Sherrie Broadus (Tyrone), Kathy Johnson, Karen Burton (Terry), Shurma Willis, Shelby Auls, Terrie Thomas (Everette), Brenda Murphy, Hazel Murphy and Michelle Wilson; his two nieces, Jasmine and Jalen White; one nephew, Eddie Murphy; his cousins he shared a home with growing up, Kevin Jr. (Dionne), Tanyen, Kenisha, Steven Jr., Matthew, Maurice, Cameron and Keith; and a host of other cousins, family members and friends.
We would like to give a special thank you to his grandmother, Mary Hughes, who shared her home, love and her cooking. She played an active role in helping raise him. She demonstrated compassion, tolerance and perseverance, and we want to say a special thank you for everything she has done. Eddie would always say, “I got it.” He got his ticket to be with the Lord. May he rest in peace.
