Theodore Arthur Moore was born September 27, 1920 in Montgomery, Alabama to the union of the late Charles and Sarah (Lewis) Moore. He was one of five children. He attended Loveless High School and Alabama State University. He and his wife, Jessie had two daughters. They later moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in 1943 and he joined the U.S. Navy in World War II. When he was honorably discharged, he worked at Wrights Aeronautics (now G.E.), Cincinnati General Hospital and later Fernald Plant.
He accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior in 1991 at Beulah Missionary Baptist Church under the guidance of Rev. John B. Ivey. He later joined the Senior Usher Board.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Blanche and Hattye; and two brothers, Oliver and Robert.
Theodore leaves to cherish his memories; daughters, Eleanor Childers (George) and Dolores Yvonne Hutcherson; seven grandchildren, Larry Hutcherson, Jr. (Michelle) of Wood-bridge, Virginia, David Childers, Diane Uduebor of Bowie, Maryland, Cynthia Maul, Gloria Lackey (Reggie), Gerald Hutcherson and Piper Childers; 16 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
