Sanford Gilbert

Sanford Gilbert, affectionately known as “Sandy” was born February 20, 1966 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the union of Marie F. Gilbert and John Sanford Gilbert whom both preceded him in death. Sanford Gilbert passed away on July 6, 2013. Sanford attended Anointed Word Fellowship Church under the pastorate of Mr. David Brooker.
Despite many challenges in his youth, Sanford successfully graduated from Withrow High School in the Class of 1985. Sandy worked for a few years at the Kroger Company.
Sandy loved music and spent a lot of his spare time danc-ing. He had a passion to be around his family and friends and many times he would “show up” at your house just to say hello and to see how things were going. He had an infectious smile and one would be hard pressed to find many people who had a bad word to say about Sandy.
Sanford will be truly missed by his common-law wife, friend and companion of nine years, Nicole Gilbert; his aunts, Maggie Brown, Betty Jean Woodard and Brenda Carter (Ronald); cousins, Terry Thomas, Tywanda Thomas, Richard Thomas, TyShawn Barker, Yolanda Fairbanks, Diamond Hayes and Rolandis Hayes; and a host of other relatives and friends.
