I just learned of Sam’s passing. I knew Sammie in the mid to late ‘80’s. He was a very good construction contractor and was passionate about establishing more minority contractors. In fact he was President of the Cincinnati Chapter of the National Association of Minority Contractors. He hated “fronts” and “sham” minority companies and was always exposing them. He was a real leader at the right time. He was a good guy. Ralph Thomas, former Executive Director of the National Assn of Minority Contractors.
