Mrs. Mary Baker entered into eternal rest on November
5, 2012, surrounded by love and family. Mary was born on
February 13, 1928 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was one of 13
children born to the late Ess and Anna Bell Brown. Vera,
Roxy, John, Estella, James, Walter, Augustine, Solomon,
Daisy Mae, Emma Lou, Sally and Leroy, all who preceded
her in death.
Mary confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized.
She attended the Cincinnati Public School and was a long
time resident of the West End.
She met and married the love of her life, James V. Baker
(fondly known as Kidd). They were married well over 50
years.
Mary retired from Kenner?s Toys after 30 plus years of service.
She established her own business, Mom Bell Restaurant
and Candy Store.
Mary and her husband, James (Kidd) Baker were known
for having the best barbeque in the West End.
Mr. James (Kidd) Baker preceded her in death, June 16,
1998.
Mary leaves to cherish her memory and legacy, a host of
nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She
shared a special bond with her nieces, Constance Harris
and Sandra (Charles) Hill; special nephew, Carl Kelly
(Anita) of Indianapolis, Indiana; and a host of other relatives
and friends.
