Lanore Sharee Cross was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 14, 1964, to the parents of Chris and Rosalie Cross and was called home to the Lord on April 13, 2025.
Lanore was raised in Kennedy Heights (Silverton) area. She had a big family with 2 sisters and 5 brothers. “Norie” attended and graduated from Woodward High School in 1982. By 1986 Lanore was a great mother of two sons. She always sacrificed what she had to make sure they had what they needed.
Lanore was an affectionate, dedicated, and strong individual who always put the needs of others ahead of her own. She started a non-profit organization called “Straight to the Heart” where she would go to local schools and teach kids about hygiene and self-confidence.
Lanore was known for her compassionate nature, giving spirit, and witty sense of humor. Her personality brought warmth and joy to everyone she encountered. Norie’s memory will remain in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those who were honored to have had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy will continue…we love you!
She is preceded in death by her brother, Phillip Croley.
Lanore leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, Curtis B. Cross (Ashton) and Antoine J. Brown (Tamika); her siblings, Carla Croley (Winfrey), Randall Croley, Christopher Cross, Marcus Cross, Rodney Cross, and Angela Cross (Nettles); grandchildren, Judah, Josiah, and Christian Brown; Christian and Michael Cross; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
