Johnie Mason, Jr., of Cincinnati, Ohio was called home on March 18, 2013. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on September 12, 1947 to John C. Mason of Selma, Alabama and Willie Mae Cody of Montezuma, Georgia.
John attended Catholic School until the 11th grade and graduated from Taft High School in 1965. He served in the United States Army from 1966-1969 where he received a National Defense Service Medal, a Vietnam Service Medal and a Vietnam Campaign Medal. He was also an excellent Marksman.
John and Pamela Mason were married on January 25, 1969. In 1972, he obtained his Associates Degree in Business.
John was a Postman for 48 years and retired in 2007. He sang in the Church Choir and was also a member of the Knights of Peter Claver of St. Joseph in the West End Council 363.
He is survived by: his loving wife, Pamela; two sons, Deron (Tonya) Mason, Eric Mason and is preceded in death by his daughter, Anquionette D. Mason-Williams. He also leaves behind a brother, Calvin Mason; five grandchildren, Eric, Shylah, Evanna, Isaiah and Amiya Mason.
John is also survived by a host of other family and friends.
