With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of John Allen Snow, who graced this world with his presence on August 30, 1968, in Cincinnati, Ohio. On April 28, 2024, he peacefully departed this life, leaving a profound void in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
John’s journey on this earth was marked by kindness, resilience, and a joyful spirit that touched all those around him. Born to William and Lillian Snow, he found solace and purpose through his family and his faith. John’s educational journey led him to graduate from Francis Breyer School in June 1990, after which he dedicated his time to serving at Elmer P. Beckman Adult Center, where his presence made a lasting impact.
In October 2024, John’s commitment and passion led him to Special Olympics, where he shone brightly in swimming, earning numerous accolades that highlighted his dedication and skill. His achievements, including gold, silver, and bronze medals, along with a Presidential Sports award in March 1992, showcased his remarkable talent and perseverance.
On August 6, 1995, John embraced his faith and was baptized, becoming a cherished member of Zion Hope Missionary Baptist Church. His spiritual journey was a source of strength and comfort, providing him with guidance and solace throughout his life.
As we come together to celebrate John’s life and legacy, we invite you to join us in honoring his memory.
Though John may no longer be with us in person, his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who were touched by his warmth, and his unwavering spirit. We remember him with love, gratitude, and a profound sense of loss, grateful for the precious memories he left behind.
May we find solace in the cherished moments shared with John Allen Snow and hold onto the light he brought into our lives. His memory will be cherished by his aunt, Annie E. Dowdell; cousins, Cisco Dowdell, LaVida Dowdell, Carla Dowdell, William Crawford, and Mia Dowdell; and a host of friends.
