Jennifer D. Jones was born February 11, 1947 in Cov- ington, Kentucky to the late Hazel Marie McCoy and the late Charles Hipsher. She was called home on November 12, 2014.
She was a devoted wife to the late James Walter Jones.
She was born and raised in Covington, Kentucky and attended Lincoln Grant School. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Jennifer truly loved her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, shopping, playing cards and traveling. She enjoyed answering every question on Jeopardy. She had a great sense of humor and loved sweets.
She leaves to cherish her memory: five children, Robert Hipsher, Jamillah Jones, Charla Jones, Daria Jones (Aaron) and Justin Jones; 24 grandchildren and two great-grand- children; nine brothers and eight sisters, Bilah Abdul- Majid, Ahmad Abdul-Majid (Jamilah), Umar Abdul- Majid, David Derkson, John Derkson, Charles (Scotty) Derkson, Raymond Derkson, Richard Derkson, William (Bill) Derkson, Charlotte Hipsher, Shaheedah Abdul- Raheem, Lynne Derkson, Verna Derkson, Jeannie Derk- son, Margaret Derkson and Madilyn Derkson; best friend, Ruthstine Jackson; special friends, Angela Sullivan Jones and Kathleen Humphries; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Hazel McCoy; aunt, Maxine Bell Powell; her sister, Lisa Derk- son; cousins, Jackie Pompey and Conrad Powell; and nephew, David Sullivan.
